BE THE CHANGE : LPU initiates a new Education Revolution policy

Lovely professional University has initiated a new student centric Education Revolution policy, which will completely transform the learning experience for students. The new education Revolution or the Edu Rev policy is very flexible approach for the academics as students will have  more control over their learning, they will be able to Tailor there learning according to their personal needs. Student will be provided with the more exclusive and supporting learning environment which will not only enhance the academic performance but will also load off the burden of extra assignments they have to under go.

Let's talk about some exciting features about this policy; 

1. Course equivalence and attendance relaxation
This refers to the flexibility provided to the students to adjust their courses based on the prior knowledge or the skills that they have. With the help of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), students can get complete exemption from certain courses the that they have already undertaken, aur students can also opt for certain NPTEL or MOOC courses which will help them on credits and attendance relaxation. This feature is very useful especially for the students who have already acquired knowledge outside the classrooms. 

2. Grade Revision and Overall Welfare (GROW)
Edu Rev also offers students to improve their grades and credits with the help of real world achievements. Students who participate in various competitions, ventures or research publications can appeal for A grade upgradation. This approach will ensure that the practical accomplishments of a students are valued and that learning is not all about just giving exams. 

3. Attendence Waiver for Pre-Final/Final year students
For the students who are in the pre final or final years there is a 10% waiver in attendance for those who have a CGPA of 8 or higher. This will allow the students to focus on their career building activities such as preparing for competitive exams freelancing or pursuing any industrial project and there will be a proper balance between the academics and career development.

4. Continuous Assessment Reduction (CARE)
For the students who are looking for a more practical learning approach, they can opt for real life problem solving assignments rather than the traditional assessments which will help the students to gain hands on experience while full filling academic requirements. 

5. Student involvement in Decison Making
Edu Rev is a student centric policy and students will have a complete say in shaping their own education. Students can participate into various committee is which will influence the key decisions related to their career, academics and their overall growth. This will also encourage students to build a sense of responsibility and leadership beyond the classroom life. 

Overall we can say that the new Education Revolution policy give the students a right to 'BE THE CHANGE' ; making the education system more practical flexible student centric. This is a very out of the box initiative which will help the students to learn at their pace and prepare for the real world. LPU: Disseminating the Traditional Art among the Youth

Lovely professional University recently organised a  wood carving workshop for the students of the fine arts department in a collaboration with the Shilpakala Academy, Bangalore . The workshop was organised for 15 days to introduce students to the beauty of the wood carving.  The students got an opportunity to learn this art from very experienced artisans. The experience not only helped the students in learning the art but also made them aware of the role that art plays in preserving our culture and shaping ourselves.
